In Sub1 it was a journey getting to and through the lost river, and trying to find the deep structures without the Seamoth and with those bugs attacking your ship nonstop. They sure look terrifying but IMO they're less dangerous than a Reaper. ![]() And if you're quick enough you can shock them after they grab you but before they do any damage to the truck. If one grabs you, shock it, and just keep zooming along. Originally posted by Syke-1:The leviathans were a non issue for me with the shock ability of the sea truck. I thought I had the mk3 depth, turns out I was only using mk2. If i want to be honest, id love to have the BZ toys in SN1, i wouldnt mind using the seatruck instead of the cyclops and the seamoth, though the teleporter module would give you shortcuts that were not intended in the base game. All the rest of the modules are optional, but not needed, or in some cases, they are a detriment. In my experience through a half playthrough last summer and a full one now with 1.0 out, you should run the seatruck with one storage module, 2 storage modules if you are the hoarder type, and somehow get to the dryland with the prawn. I carried the docking module with the prawn around the whole game for no reason, like i said its best on dry land, especially for the 4 ion cube piles i could find to mine with the drill arm. Ive been to the depest point, at the very entrance with the fully upgraded seatruck, no problems with depth, in fact i dont get the diff between the prawn 1100m and 1000m max depth of the seatruck. The iceworms don't do much at all to the prawn. I agree the prawn shouldn't have been in game, the seatruck should've been able to go deeper, and I agree it massively outperformed the snowfox. ![]() ![]() And you just gave me an idea XD since i play with mods and i have that thing called Armor mod, it should reduce all damage by 75% :D woohoo nice good to know, i'll probably race some underwater derby of my own.Originally posted by Geck0:was depth not an issue though? I 86'd the one further up, but past 650m I was taking damage too frequently to manage. Zero mercy and probably the entirely wrong way to play the game. Not counting the smaller leviathans like the Squidsharks or the Crocs because those would die within a few truck hits.īest moment in Subnautica was when my friend used a sea truck to continuously ram the Squidshark in the deep twisty caverns out of the caves and rammed it until it was dead on the surface. The only Leviathans that gave him trouble was the one where you couldnt be in the ocean and the one that is in the open ocean because it could get away. He pretty much effortlessly either rammed all leviathans with his Sea Truck or just mined them to death with Prawn. We are both pretty experienced in the game and he decided to kill most of the leviathans. Originally posted by Wave:Recently had a friend join in Subnautica Below Zero.
